FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What to expect during Evaluation and First Treatment?

  • Patient should arrive 15 – 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out registration forms.
  • Bring a copy of the doctor’s script/orders for your therapy with you unless it was faxed directly from your doctor’s office.
  • Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes appropriate for the area/body part it be evaluated because your first treatment will follow your evaluation. For example; wear or bring shorts for knee injury/surgery evaluations or swim suit for use in Swim-EX.
  • The average evaluation and first treatment will last approximately an hour to an hour and a half depending on the patient’s individual needs and therapy needed.

Is there an After-therapy exercise program available?

  • YES! We welcome and encourage patients to come in and use the Start of the Art Equipment in our clinic. This offer is for unlimited use after skilled therapy treatments have ended. This is a free service to our current and past patients.
  • We also provide dance, yoga, progressive relaxation classes and massage therapy available in our Bay City Clinic.

My doctor ordered therapy for me do I have a choice where I can go for therapy services?

  • YES, you do! You have the right to go where ever you would feel most comfortable, the best service and results for you. We want you be successful in returning to your highest level of functioning possible.

Can I call and ask the Therapist questions or concerns about previous or current surgeries and therapies?

  • Absolutely! We welcome questions and are happy to provide assistance.
